Recent acquisition is this very attractive wing. Does the red crown solely indicate Canadian made. It is of the highest quality and l would assume very close to 1918 in date due to its shape. Would anyone care to comment?

In this case I don't think the red fill means it was made in Canada, that relates mainly to WWII items. This wing looks 1920s to me due to the wing shape. In my collection I have the wing shown here. It came to me with a ohoto of the owner and his potted history. They were all dated 1918. This one goes further in that the background behind RAF is coloured green. All in all I think you have a very nice find.
