RCAF Pilot Wings (?)

Dear all,

I take the liberty to post those two wings, because I am wondering if they are legit or not?

Many thanks in advance for your coming comments.

Could you add an image of the back of the wings?

Those look like really nice original pilot wings. I'd have to see the backside of them to be sure, but they look to be made of a very fine quality silk. I am envious!

Just going through some old threads and came across this one. Pretty sure these are fake wings as l bought one at least ten years ago knowing it was a fake and was sold as a fake. You are right in so far as the thread is a very silky shiny thread.

....are these paper backed....??
...to my eye the front looks off....my gut feeling they are copies from the 90s, rather than period. I may be wrong ,very hard to judge from photos.
Regards
Steve

Just from your photographs, I think you are right.
