Just those enamelled and chrome badges for fitting on the grilles of motor vehicles I think David. Some are very attractive and they go for quite a few dollars.

They are vitreous enamel & chrome on a brass backing; military and civilian, with a variety of backing plate designs over the years.

They were designed to be mounted on a bar that sat in front of the radiator (grille) of older style cars. Later grille fixing ones were made as car design evolved. They ceased production in the mid 1970’s.

There is no definitive list of what was produced and I currently have around 500 of them.

Last year I came across this, but found it was way to expensive for my pockets. Having said that I have never seen one belonging to the King's Own Malta Regiment!

Good condition for a BEAULAH badge. The front domed covers are Perspex, which tended to get scratched and dulled through over enthusiastic cleanup with abrasive cleaners/cloths.
