Hi
I’ve had these two small gilded brass and enamel badges for sometime, can anyone help with what they are?
Thanks
John

It is shown on Combined Ops website with a blue enamel ribbon on top and described as " what I believe to be a WWII Combined Operations sweetheart brooch worn by wives, mothers or girlfriends."

Scroll down to "Medals with Insignia"

I would agree - I have a slightly smaller one mounted on a silver bar and pin - pretty sure mine is a tie pin

Thanks you both Mikes, the link shows three similar examples, unofficial badge either worn as a sweetheart or tie pin.

All the best

Weirdly the weapon system doesn't look like a tommy gun.

Certainly not a Thompson.

There is a debate on the combined ops site that it might be a pump action shot gun!
