Yes, it’s a great picture, Jon. Did you know that quite a few RMA officers transferred to the RGA because there was a shortage of battery commanders with experience of large calibre guns? Of course due to X-turret experience the requirements were second nature for RMA officers.

Jon, a superb picture. He also appears to be wearing a cap made of paler khaki than the normal colour. Common thinking is the the lighter shade of material caps were favoured by RA and RE officers.
