Hi This is a fantasy badge supposedly produced for slouched hats being sold in in disposal shops.

Yep - disposal store Rising Sun badge.

However....

I did once work with an ex soldier who was adamant he was issued one of these at Kapooka (Australian Army Recruit Training Centre) when the Q-Store there ran out of official issue badges.

I don't have any proof of this however.
