Gordon Highlanders officers plaid brooch

Gentlemen,
I have here a Gordon Highlanders officers plaid brooch? Could anyone enlighten me as to why there is no scroll with Gordon Highlanders name and battle honours, as I have seen on other examples? Could it be because this a territorial battalion example ? The item does have a connection with a member of the 4th Gordons TF.
Regards, Jim

Here is the back of my one, together with the label the vendor had displayed with every brooch in his collection!
Another photo to follow as my phone won't let me upload more than 1.

And the second photo. Noting that not only will my phone only upload 1 photo, it also randomly turns it on its side.

That is a stunning collection Ian. I am most envious. Thank you for showing it. I see that your vendor has the badge marked up as 5th (Deeside) Highland Volunteer Battalion. My example was included in items that belonged to a member of the 4th Volunteer battalion. I am therefore thinking that its possible that this badge was generic to all volunteer battalions of the Gordon Highlanders, unless someone knows differently and can correct me on this.
Jim.
