SAS Badge - Opinions Please

2 Attachment(s)
This was acquired at a military show recently after much hesitation on my part. I guess you could say I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. I did pass on 2 SS Commando badges which didn't look right to me, stamped, with lugs? One, maybe, but not 2 in this part of the US. The SAS badge I decided to take a chance on after the dealer came down in price. It is brass, as near as I can tell. If someone has some wisdom or knowledge to share it will be appreciated.

Such is the amount of fakery of SF items I would strongly counsel anyone away from it. It is as bad as 3rd Reich items. Even Para regt and other badges made in vast numbers now command a huge premium and attract forgers in huge amounts.

If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. :( This is why I stay away from casinos and slot machines. Rats!!

I am glad that somebody at last made this statement. Unfortunately, I havent got a single example of these badges as a result. This is one area of British badge collecting that has been utterly ruined in my opinion.
