Ladies and Gents,
Just a quick post to make you aware that over the last week, several fantasy 4th GR OSD cap badges have come onto the market (Crossed Kukris on the side POW feathers above and IV below). These are Die cast bronzed OR pattern with lugs and not worn by officers. I saw one sold on a main dealers site very recently and a few at Thetford fair on Sunday with a couple on E bay as well.

Thanks for the update on yet more fantasy items, the range of British and Colonial badges is so vast that the unscrupulous can manufacture "rare" items that can only be exposed by specialist collectors.

IV GR. Fake OSD badge
 

Thanks to a friendly dealer who purchased this in good faith here's a picture of the 4 GR new OSD fake.
Die cast, Bronzing has a worn look copper lugs have a brassy braze. trouble is its a widely copied OR badge.
As said one has already appeared and been sold on a reputable dealers site, and ive seen four in a week.
