Anodised Aluminium Cap Badges By Buttons Ltd

Hi Guys,

Lets get the ball rolling on this.

The object of the exercise here is to list those units who had an anodised aluminium cap badge made by Buttons Ltd.

I will collate all entries up into this first posting and at this stage I am not interested if the badges are official issue or unofficial commissions because although I am sure on 300 odd officially issued items I still do not know the full story and it may well be some time before I do.

Photos not required at this stage but I may ask for the badges to be posted here on the forum now and again.

Badges so far for Buttons Ltd are:

1. 15th / 19th Hussars
2. Coldstream Guards
3. East Anglia Brigade
4. Green Jackets Brigade
5. Loyal Suffolk Hussars (Beret Size)
6. Royal Malta Artillery

Please, ONLY 'BUTTONS LTD' badges for this particular thread and only those that you own and have immediate access too - nothing from other collections or from books.

At this stage I am not interested in the actual mark itself or it's location although if you have an 'odd one' like (for example) 'BTNS LTD' then do sing out.

Regards

Chris

Ditto. I notice that the three fusilier badges I have are all unmarked (No slider???)

What a shock?

I have "A LOT" of anodised badges and after checking about 90% I came up with the grand total of "ZERO"? I did find a maker I'd not seen before, "G.S. TYE & CO BIRMINGHAM" on a Sil Ano Edinburgh UOTC!

Blimey Andy,

There are others more much more obscure than G.S. TYE & Co. I will get a new maker up on the forum every weekend - have identified 14 makers of anodised badges so far.

For now, any more Buttons Ltd our there?

Regards

Chris
