Cloth star badge
Is there a definite identification for this embroidered cloth badge, please?

I've only seen the woven (and in the case of the one I have mispelled "SEPTUM") version.
I would imagine that you're aware of this thread showing a similar embroidered but "Quinque Juncta in Uno" badge to the one you show: https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ghlight=Septum |

I think it reads Septum Juncta motta (or motto) In Uno. The seven joined in one I believe was the Household Division motto but that was Septum Juncta In Uno.

Here it is as referred to in earlier posts but still a mystery.
Card from the Professor Charles Thomas collection sold and dispersed a few years ago. Tim |
The word motto comes from Latin through the Italian meaning saying. The plural (I am guessing it is neuter) so would be molla - giving seven mottoes in one. but this is, as said, a guess.

I have sent an email sent to The Household Cavalry Museum, maybe I will get a reply.

I know that this is speculation but did the WRAC have a cloth/bullion version of the arm badge worn in the Guards division recruit training ???
