Portcullis query

Look on top of the portcullis in the centre, is there any sign of something broken off?

If so it was a probably a rose and the badge is Wandsworth College OTC.

Hi sonofacqms. There does not appear to be anything broken off, the top of the badge has a series of tiny marks, these marks go across the entire top of the badge. These marks are uninterrupted. Do you know where I could find a picture of this badge. Thanks for your input.

That's not an OTC I am aware of.

Probably confusion with Emanuel which is in Wandsworth. Discussed in depth elsewhere on here.

I was thinking about the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (AFPS) but that badge has chains on the sides.

My apologies chaps, I missed out the word Emmanuel. From memory I think my Emmanuel college is in white metal.

Gents, I think you are off track, there are flowers on either side I think you should be looking at Westminster. The Westminster dragoon’s has this in the centre of its cap badge

Thought I recognised it , I've passed it numerous times while walking in Westminster.

Note that the flowers on either side do not protrude above the top of the portcullis.
