Hi David, just for my info, what makes #9 the 265th, and not either 20th London, or Kent Cyclist? I ask as I'm curious, not suggesting you're wrong.

Cheers, Tim

Hi Tim,

It is listed as such by Howard Ripley in Buttons of the British Army 1855-1970 in the Royal Regiment of Artillery [T.& A.V.R.] section, button number 383.

David.

Buttonman mislabeled his No 8. It is No. 14.

No 8. has multiple M... Hunt Club options
I have found it as Monmouthshire Hunt Club, Meath Hunt club. The Melbourne Hunt Club has identical script letters on a flat button (ref. Mrs. Squire's book)

Thanks btns,

Yes you are right, I have confused No.8 with No.14. I have put a note on my original post.

David.
