Belgian 1e Jachtwing alle weer badge

I picked up this stunning badge this morning and have worked out that it was worn by the 1st (all weather) fighter wing of the Belgian Air Force. Could some one please confirm that it dates from the early 1960's and give me an idea of its scarcity and value? This badge may be offered for sale as it is outside my collecting field; on the other hand I may keep it as it is a beautifully made badge.

Bumping this up.

High Wood,

Thanks for showing this badge. The wearers of this badge flew one of my favourite aircraft - The F104G Starfighter from 1963-1981. They then converted to the F16A Fighting Falcon.

They were based in 2 squadrons (349th and 350th) at Beauvchain airfield near Leuven (on the road to Namur) as an all-weather fighter wing responsible for air defence.

I do not know if the badge continued to be worn after 1981 and I have no idea on the value.

Air force stuff isn't my field of interest, but speaking of Belgian badges in general I'm afraid it's unlikely to be worth more than £5 - and then only if you can find a buyer. It's certainly post war, and 1980s seems a reasonable estimate on date.

Thank you for the information; it is much appreciated. It may not be worth much but I think that it is a superbly made badge. Definitely a keeper.
