Canadian Mysteries?

I don't actually know if the patches are Canadian, except they came in a lot of Canadian items (barring one Australia title). The white over blue is similar to UK 1st Div signals, but I'm stumped by the 1 W.O. The red triangle I have no idea.

I know the CMR is Canadian Mounted Rifles and it has a Tiptaft mark. My question is about a) the lugs and b) usage. The lugs have very wide feet but appear to be original. Are these typical of Tiptaft titles? I've also been unable to find a comparable pattern in Chris Brooker's guide, so I'm curious as to which units might have used it.

I think the blue and white badge may be a British ATS Royal Signals, perhaps GPO Home Guard one but don't know what the 1 WO signifies.

Brilliant lead Leigh! It is indeed ATS, 1 War Office Signals. Found it in Jon Mills' BoBD (#1744). I had been checking BoBD but was looking for RCOS, not ATS. Might have come across it with the unscientific "flip through page by page" technique!

The WO = War Office seemed a reasonable guess but I couldn't be sure and my copy of BoB wasn't to hand- a nice little badge.

The Canadian item in the lot is the brass shoulder title to the Canadian Mounted Rifles. The triangular patch looks American.

ive seen these footed lugs on rising suns made by tiptaft WW1.
ive always doubted the existance of tiptaft lugged badges but ive seen several in old collections so maybe late war period?

Hello!

The triangular one looks very much like the 1st Infantry Division (Philippines)
