Burma Star, Badge Attachment " Ying"

I have ww2 Burma Star group of three boxed to (T.R.Stribling, Burton on Trent.) Attached to the Star is a small ,circular ,pinned brooch bearing the Chinese character Ying (meaning British/Britain) on a RED enamelled background surrounded by a WHITE circle, the outer rim of which is in BLUE. The reverse of the item bears Chinese characters loosely translated as " British Military Group. "and the Number 358.I am aware of the BAAG which I thought operated in Southern China, hence Pacific Star ?
Regret no photograph but I hope you get the picture. Any thoughts ?

Quote:

After the war, members of the BAAG and those who helped with the Allied War effort had numerous reunions.
