hi all
in an auction today in WA there was a badge sell for $300.
it was misdescribed and broken. "Australian Boer War shoulder title 1st Western Australian Contingent. Brass title, with ‘pinched’ lugs to rear."
how does a WA dealer/expert get away with this??
the first pic is the badge, the second pic is mine, 3rd pic is of the badges in the Freo fort museum

Because they can because they know that there are people out there who will part with their money without knowing the true facts and who dont do any research.

Whoever bought it is one of those people.

Your badge is a fantastic badge by the way.

G'day BC

Hey love your badge and those from the museum. Best not comment on the first one. Thanks for sharing.

Phil.

Well lets hope they are members here and as you said a supposedly collector / dealer who runs this auction from WA you think would have known or at least got some info :confused:
