Two ladies wrist bangles on top of each other? So jewellery.

Were anklets poplar in Aus with ladies back then? A possibility, but I’d have thought wrist bangles more likely.

Do you have close ups of that decoration pattern?

Without any maker marks or a very obvious style or design (hieroglyphs etc.) features I imagine it’s difficult to say and a lot of Middle Eastern jewellery made for Western tourists is likely quite similar. Pinning it down to an exact country rather than region may not easy be.

Also bear in mind trade, just because something is sold in one country doesn’t mean it started life there.

I think anklets as they are to heavy for the wrist and I think maybe WW2 souvenir also better photos of pattern

Thanks

Anklets , probably Middle East/North Africa , still worn by bedouin women ..... and sold at markets/souks to tourists. I saw some in Egypt and Saudi that were "genuine antiques" but probably made in some backstreet shop/factory the day before. :D
