Can anyone help identify

I'm no expert mate but I'd say that's a Rifles badge you've got there. One of the real experts will be along in a wee while to confirm. In the meantime maybe you could cut down on the size of your image a wee bit? Put it in Photoshop and half the canvas size.

This badge design has been discussed before ( Middlesex ? I think) but I cannot find the previous threads.
I have reduced the size of the image. ( hope that is OK ) P.B. |

I'd narrowed it down to Rifle Brigade, Border Regiment or Middlesex Regiment by examining all the examples I could find in books or online for foot regiments who fought at the Battle of Albuhera but couldn't get the exact match. Never mind, it passed a bit of time for me. Glad you got there. :)

The battle of Albuhera of June 1811 was where the 57th Foot, later Middlesex Regiment, won their "The Die Hards" nickname.

Nice bit of info BWEF. Thanks.

is it gold or brass ??
a gold version was given to officers until 1847 , and was returnable at the time if the recipient died in that time carl |
I recently read somewhere where it was identified as The Guards Brigade , the three into one being the motto before the formation of the Irish and Welsh Guards.

Thank you all for the help, I didn't get a chance to get online till today.
I've past the info on to my dad and he was very happy with it. |
