Devonshire Bandsman ?
 
I bought this picture in South Molton last week, I suspect they are wearing the Bandsman Lyre badge on their sleeves but it doesn't look quite right?

Any other options, Bandsmen seems the most likely to me.

I have found this example which seems to have less piercing/voiding than some, is it genuine and would that make it more likely to be WW1 period?

Rob,

They are definately wearing the standard KC Bandsman badge.

Didnt change from 1902 - 1952 other than makers variations.
