Can anyone tell me which regiment this young Canadian is serving with please?

I'm assuming WWI - am I right?

The image is reversed, but it appears to my poor broken eyes that he was 50th Battalion CEF. The numeral above the brass "INF" title appears to be 50 and the collar badge appears to be 50th to me.
