Unknown Air Force or Airways Button
Hi All, has anyone come across this button before please? It was apparently sold as Rhodesian WWII but that is not correct as their button had a lion and tusk and the eagle's wings are different as well.
Many thanks Wayne |
Not sure why my photo is not showing.
Anyway the lion above the eagle looks just like that used by Imperial Airways, so I wonder if the button may be an early IA button? Cheers Wayne |
I am sure this is a Southern Rhodesia Airforce.

Hi Wayne,
Just an observation an not a confirmation of anything... The design of eagle appears to be similar to that of Australian Air Force buttons, so maybe start looking at private Australian Airways around the 1930's - 1950's period. Steven |
Thanks Steven, will do
