This is from an old thread about lanyards :

"Lanyard. Royal Anglian Regiment.
NSN: 8465-99-978-9186 - Stable ply type. Four ply. Single cord, with loops at either end secured by turks heads. Black and yellow. Length 84cm. Diameter 0.7cm. Royal Anglian Regiment."

You might take a look at my Album showing 200 plus lanyards in my collection.

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...p?albumid=2027

Includes copies of official documentation and NSNs where identified. Lanyards D2, P8, Q8 and S1 are Royal Anglian and antecedents related. Also M1, P2, N3, T6, O8 and J6.

Lanyards have been around for more than 100 years and some are not easy to positively identify as colours and usage have varied over the years.

Great album Tim , I also found "Technical Specification for LANYARDS" dated November 2015 which gives full specs for 8465-99-975-7417 ( Lanyard, Black and Red Single Cord Army Royal Anglian) on page 48.

Technical Specification for LANYARDS NOV 2015

Also from March 2008 8465-99-978-9186 (Lanyard, Black / Yellow Single Cord Army R.Anglian) on page 71

Technical Specification for LANYARDS MAR 2008

Mike and Andrew,
Be aware that NSN 8465-99-975-7417 Lanyard black and red single cord is actually (Royal) Army Physical Training Corps and is not, nor ever has been the Royal Anglian Regiment.

Various MOD documents have perpetuated this error for more than fifteen years.
