There's 2 "Firmin" marks from around that period of time .
A thin Firmin and a fat Firmin mark appear on a LI anodised and new metal example
The fat mark was still in use around 2007. Appears on a Rifles badge.

Chris,
Possibly worn recently by the Band of the Royal Armoured Corps at Catterick?

Here are some more maker’s marks including a J.R.GAUNT B’HAM marked on slider and behind badge.

Pattern No 19298 CB 3031 NSN 8455-99-973-9383 Sealed 20/06/58

Worn by the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Armoured Corps 1960s - early 1990s?

Recently worn by Royal Wessex yeomanry and lots of cadets due to a shortage of the Yeo badges.
