2nd DoW Sand Cast Glengarry Badge?
 

Hi all. This badge came with other India related badges (see Madras Police badge and my unknown triangle badge threads). I know cast badges are notoriously difficult to pin down but did this style of badge at least exist as I haven't been able to find another, also I have not seen a cast badge with a pin fitting before? Any opinions would be much appreciated. All the best. James.

I have seen at least three variations of badges similar to this this. I am not at all sure about them however, as no information seems to exist for them. The common one which I doubt is genuine has the word Hindoostan on the garter belt and the battalion title on a scroll below.
The others are closer variants to yours with no scroll below, but one has some battle honours on the garter belt instead. Brooch fittings seem most common.
The brooch fittings on yours look a bit newish to me however and it is a tad cruder than others.
I do wonder of they might be mess waiter's Pagri badges in India?
