From the same source as the SAS insignia and the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion title.
Cap badge V-force From what I've read on the forum is this a fake Commando knuckle duster cap badge A common fake I believe Royal Marine commando cap badge No idea if original or not? LRDG shoulder title I assume a fake? |
LRDG shoulder title
This LRDG shoulder title is by the looks of it sandcast, which could mean it's an original although, to my mind, it is what it is, a possible copy.
Sandcast badges unless providence can be provided should always be treated with caution IMO. Rob |
Hello Stef
As you suspected the V Force & ME Commando badges are not good as far as I’m aware, the Royal Marines cap badge (not only worn by commando trained) is ok , I don’t collect titles so can’t comment on that. Gerard |
Thank you for the comments.
As for provenance, unfortunately not. It all comes from the collection of an elderly gentleman. It was build travelling militaria fairs in Belgium for many years. He was now forced to sell it because of age and health issues. We will wait to see what the experts have to say :) |

The Devonshire Regt looks OK to me, no doubt Devonshire collectors will know for sure.
