Royal Navy WW2 Gunnery badge

Hi
I was wondering if anyone here could help identify the gunnery badge on my late fathers right sleeve (star above crossed guns no letters) and the stripe on the left sleeve in the attached picture

Picture taken in 1943

Any help gratefully received, thanks

on other arm is a Leading rate bade (anchor) and a 4 year Good Conduct stripe

Interesting. I didn't think cap tallies in WW2 had the name of the ship on them, only 'HMS'. Also, shouldn't it be tied at the back?

I'm not a Navy collector, so I stand to be educated on this one.

Worn from 1939 to 1948 by Layer Ratings 2nd Class and 1948 to 1956 by Layer Ratings 3rd Class.
