Army Air Corps cap badge (AAC)
 

Hi all,

I wanted to check with you if this badge was a restrike or a fake ?
The crown is voided and I noted a few differences with the non voided crown one.

The voided crown badge is a fake.

There was a post a long time ago saying another sign of a fake is the laurel leaf overlapping a feather on the right wing as well.

the leaf over the wing is the first thing I look for when thinking about good or bad for this badge

Not neccesarily, a number of original ones are shown in one of my albums. However in this case it is.

I did not say all voided crown AAC’s were fake….

Yes it is original but there is no way to be sure it is from ww2.
