New ATS Unit Associated breast Badge
Recently discovered this picture of an ATS girl wearing a badge I'd not seen one wear before - General Service. I am not sure who she would be supporting, but am adding it to my list of ATS badges. Just thought I'd share it.

In this case it is properly the General Service Corps.

ATS personnel were permitted to wear the (usually collar size) badge of the unit to which they were attached above their left breast pocket.
The General General Service Corps Badge represented the War Office which, as well as various London Headquarters, covered for example Research Establishments, Service Schools of Instruction and other War Office Controlled Units. Another example. Tim |
Thanks Jerry and Tim! I have amended my reference on this one to include "Corps" and who would have worn it.

Jerry,
Yes, as ATS personnel certainly worked at the various Special Operations Executive country house 'finishing schools'. The photo was posted previously on the Forum 'colourised' and with the face obscured! Tim |
