Hi, my username is SaniPass (I have history with this place) I am on this forum as I am trying to sell my Father-in-Law's collection of badges. I have purchased four books to try to get to grips with the badges. However, some of them are eluding my searches - like the one attached. Can anyone assist, please?
Thank you

Welcome. The badge gives me the impression of being Russian due to the double head eagle and the orb. The Austrians also used a double headed eagle, but believe theirs has a crown atop it.

It is the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

Thank you for your help with this badge, Simon. It gives me a means of finding out more information.
Thank you again.

Found this :

Quote:

The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was formed in 1918 after the end of World War I, and was first called the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Its coat of arms incorporated symbols related to the Serbian, Croat, and Slovene nations: the upper left section of the shield displays a Serbian cross, the upper right has the checkerboard from the Croatian coat of arms, and the bottom section has the three stars from the Slovenian coat of arms.
The official name of the state was changed to "Kingdom of Yugoslavia" by King Alexander I on 3 October 1929.
