Give me a Break!

I've had this printed patch for a while now, but have had no luck in identifying it.

I believe it to be an unofficial badge of British military origin, probably a morale patch from before the term was coined, but could be wrong.

I think the graphic represents 'Give me a Break', and HTHSIK stands for 'How the hell should I know', but MCBJCS is a bit of a mystery.

Can anyone help with identification and time period please?

Many thanks for any assistance with this one.

Graham

Graham if you GOOGLE it, the only thing that comes near would be MARINE CORP BASE JAPAN - but doesnt account for the last 2 letters

OR

Does the 'JCS' stand for Jesus Christs Sake?

Sean,

I wondered whether the JCS is Joint ? Staff? Your suggestion fits the tone of the message much better though!

Cheers,
Graham

HTHSIK is acromyn for, how the hell should I know.
Can fathom the other. How about my cracked body Jesus Christ saves.

Hi Graham

Based on the image in the patch, I suggest:

"How The Hell Should I Know - My Crystal Ball Just Can't See"

Just a guess, mind.

regards
Darrell

Thanks all, some out of the box thinking there!

The Camp Schwab one from Graham, picking up on Sean's suggestion, sounds plausible, particularly given the vintage of the camp, so it's possibly a US badge rather than British.

Any other suggestions gratefully received...

Cheers,

Graham
