British Frontier Control Service / Frontier Inspection Service buttons
 

Does anyone know what type of buttons were worn on the uniforms of the Frontier Control Service (1946–49) or the Frontier Inspection Service (1949–55) in the British Occupation Zone in Germany? The British Frontier Service (1955-91) had buttons bearing “BFS” but what did its predecessors wear? Did they have similar buttons specially made or use those of the Control Commission Germany?
