Para Beret for opinion

Dear Fellow forum members, can I have you valued opinion on this beret - much appreciated!

It seems to be ok, though the second 4 in 1944 looks a bit software.
Did you look at the pinned thread on berets? |

I'm not sure on the beret, but the cap badge looks like an officers badge by Firmin London.

The beret looks like it might be ok to me too. Is there the loosely stitched black thread going around the inside of the crown?

Hi Dave, if you search under 1944 aiborne beret you'll find a thread by Irv who has a good red lid by Beret Industries Ltd, this maker doesn't have the loose thread running around the lining, cheers

There is a very helpful thread that goes into detail as to construction and tell tail points from each of the manufacturers.
Your beret shows all the correct ones for a WW2 beret. Regards Irv? |

One more item of interest is the ‘M’ 1944 inspection mark which is located by the back of the badge on my beret.

There is a great thread on identification of berets but I can’t find it. It is a reference thread and not to be added to.
If anyone can find it can they post a link to this thread please. Regards Irv:) |
