Para Wings - bog standard?

I picked these up as part of a lot where I was after something else entirely.

They don't look 'right' to me compared to any of the ones i wore/have had. They've been trimmed but not ironed/folded so not from a smock, shirt or jumper, they're dirty but otherwise in great nick but size wise they're perfect compared to my unworn pair from 1 PTS.

Does anybody bother to fake these?!

When you say they don't look "right" are you suggesting they are wrong?

I don't know to be honest.

In the days that I wore them I just got what I was given from the stores and took them to the tailors then wore them...

They're in really good condition but are really quite dirty. Something just doesn't 'smell' right about them but I genuinely don't know if anybody bothers to fake these things - I assume that they're not as old as WWII and they're certainly not SF...

I don't know anything about them but not much isn't faked today.

the reverse looks of the modern type, which I assume is what they are

I believe these are a standard set of issued wings as worn today.

I think they are fine, they were made by a number of manufacturers, with little in the way of variation and I do think there is some age to them.
