Can you put up pictures of the bottom (looking up the badge) and of the back looking across from side to side, please?

Looks like images are taken from one of endici’s listings?

I have no opinion on the badge illustrated
but I can tell you that the WO ordered 10,000 all GM Skins badges in April 1916.

So there must be some real ones out there !

Hi , I have had this badge in my box of not sure badges,I was told a few years ago that it was an economy badge, but if it turns out to be ok I still won't put it in my Irish frame,it looks and feels wrong, but who knows. Mike c

Thanks people, have made far too many mistakes in the past and like to be better informed these days

Feedback much appreciated

My advice would be to seek the type made by Woodward if you want an undoubtedly original badge. These come with both marked and unmarked sliders.

Geoff Newman recently sold a lovely example: http://www.gnmilitaria.co.uk/viewpho...h=22571&phqu=2

As you can see the flame shape is distinctive as is the castle.

I have Woodward Munster, would love a Leinster and Inniskilling......

Lovely RMF. The Leinster wasn’t made by Woodward but a version was made by Lambourne, these are found marked both Lambourne & Co and Lambourne’s.

I have a Woodward example as well. They must account for the vast majority of these badges.
I must say that they made somewhat crude badges compared to many. I also have a ww1 Northumberland Fus. by them ( and a few others), and they are not among my better quality strikes.
