156 (M) Hy A.A. R. RA
Gentlemen,
Can you help me please regarding a unit that I can not find any information on? ATS Cpl Kathleen Dorothy (W127164) was serving in London with an AA unit which I have found reference to as being: "156 (m) Hy AA R RA" I'm guessing it was the 156th (Mixed) Heavy AA Regiment Royal Artillery. Can anyone tell me if I'm right (or wrong) and anything about this unit? Thank you so much. Amy |
A shot in the dark, but, I think you want 155 (M) HAA Regt RA., as 156 was the (Lanarkshire Yeomanry) Field Regt RA (TA).

Marc,
That's what I came up with too. However, the original document states 156. I'll send it to you. Amy |
Always interested in he ATS girls attached to mixed AA batteries, so will be following this thread closely.

Sorry I'm a bit late with this one, don't get on here very often. I note that people are having problems finding information on WW2 RA units. Could I suggest that you try my website which has fairly comprehensive coverage of the regiments. The site is an on going project so is often being updated.

Derek,
Your web site looks really good. Looking forward to spend time really going through it. Of course my interest are the Mixed AA/Searchlight Batteries with the ATS involved. Terry |

Going off at a tangent, these relate to another Mixed unit.
