How could I get a copy of the personal records (career, campaigns, medals ...) of a ww2 veteran, as I am not a next of kind ...

Herve, long time since i did this for a family member, checked social security death index for death, veterans affairs for basic service, then National Personnel records. i expect it is all online now, so hopefully someone with more recent experience will come along shortly. Regards Mark

Thanks for your fast reply ... it seems that the full service records are not available online.
I have found a "Request pertaining to military records" form on NARA site to ask for a "DD214"...
I have filled, signed and scanned the form but ... I cant find an email address to send it , only a postal address ...
