The badge is a generic Omani OR's cap badge c1958-1975. It should not be attached to the epaulette.

The shoulder title is that worn by any of the support services of the Omani army, It is now worn exclusively by Force Transport Regiment. Not sure what the green flash signifies.

The single "pip" is the rank badge of a Mulazim Thani - Second Lieutenant. If it is brass it is quite early, say 1958-1970. If chrome then post 1970.

Up to about 1975ish the Omani army wore KD after that OG. This seems to be green so post 1975ish.

Thanks for your i.d. on the epaulet. The star is brass and the epaulet is of a jungle green type of material. It is all your fault that I have started to collect Omani badges. Yours John.
