Laurels with Flaming bomb?
Hi Guy's,
Looking for info of Royal Marines in WW1 using just the laurels with the globe removed and a flaming bomb replacing it in the centre as a cap badge?? Regards Irv:) |

The Marines in the back ground has a flaming bomb in the centre of laurels.
|
Looks like Royal Marine Light Infantry to me.
|
Not with a flaming bomb:confused:
RMA would be a better guess but the badge isn't the recognised RMA cap badge. I want to know if this type of badge has been noticed before?? |
Irv, where you see a flaming bomb, I see a globe with a stringed bugle horn above it.

Somewhere on here there is a long thread on this subject.

Thanks Hoot,
Must be my old eye's playing tricks on me:( |
Hi Irv, your phot looks like RMLI you old codger :) Royal Marines Engineers in WW1 used a badge that had the flames of a bomb coming out of the top of the globe surrounded by a laurel if that's what you're thinking of?

The first picture is obviously RMLI but the guy at the back's cap badge looks different, but I could be wrong:o
These pictures were as close as I could get. Have a look and tell me if the back marine is RME? Cheers Irv:) |
Irv,

Should have gone to Supersavers :)
Thanks Guy's. |
