I see an officers rcaf 1918 badge on ebay by a reputable dealer, is this a misprint, i didn't think the canadian air force became royal until the late 20's, i have a 1924 era badge to the caf. What did we have in 1918? Ray

Hi Ray, What is the link for the auction? The Royal prefix was granted to the CAF in 1924. Between 1918 and 1920 there was a Canadian Air Force, but it was disbanded.

Thanks guys for the head up on my error on the RAF/RCAF badge I listed. I have changed the listing. You are exactly right when you state the RCAF, which wasn't fromed until 1924, could not have worn this badge and it was worn by the RAF personnel. The Canadian Airforce, 1920-1924, of course had there own badges. WAYNE.
