Bobby Tredwen and C&T Auctions which means plenty of fakes. Prospective buyers beware.

I thought C & T were going to be the saviours of military badge auctions not so long ago?

Despite the family connection I have always found C & T and particularly Matthew very good and easy to deal with and I think their auctions are excellent and provide another much welcomed military auction facility.

I respect you comments, but doubt you have looked closely at their special forces badges. On one occasion I emailed C&T to let them know the LRDG badges were fakes, the reply was abusive and suggested I mind my own business! Nowadays I will not buy from them on principle - no matter what.

I second that Simon I have had nothing but the best service from C and T.

You can pick your friends but unfortunately you are lumbered with your relatives.

so, lots to talk about on there site at the moment.............

First off the line is the Norfolk yeo shako, lets just set the record straight, that shako was in F.A. Stones military tailors here in Norwich in 1979, just like that, it was on a shelf high up, along with many other hats. I photograph it then, and was told the badge was just added to the helmet to make the display better looking. The contents of the shop where sold about 10 years ago, when they moved shop.

Second, The GT.Yarmouth and Gorleston H.G. Rifle and Pistol Club badge is not correct. A good one is shown on the red cloth. I currently have there records, and accounts. This badge was still being sold in 1962, so maybe still worn then.

Third, The Eastern div signs............. words fail me. see photos enclosed. Really surprised the words trial pattern, samples, prototype, rare, makers error haven't been used on these.
