SBS badge - bargain or fake?

Given that Bosley's sold an attributed one of these for £9,000 - I'm assuming that someone either got a real bargain or paid a lot for a fake!

Looks chemically aged with an un associated box, so probably fake.

Lugs are totally incorrect compared with attributed examples (excuse me for not sharing images - I prefer to comment on individual items as they crop up rather than share images of what things should look like ... hope folks understand my position) - the words wouldn't touch and barge-pole spring to mind.

Loads of c**p in that auction. Many lots very similar to other provincial auction houses so I assume all coming from the same source.
Stay Alert!

SBS

Many of the items in here have been floating around auction houses and occasionally ebay for at least 2 to 3 years and not selling or being withrdrawn after folks on here call them to let them know......there are mainly two sources for this i think and all to be avoided.

I feel deeply sorry for the buyer - but they need to do their homework - it is not an easy apprenticeship as we know:

£460, plus commission no doubt, - shocking!

As convincing as a Government adviser.

Wouldn't touch it with a boom mike then.

Indeed Leigh - I believe even the manufacturers box is wrongly paired with that badge ... and even that is falling to bits
