Hi all
Does this picture show a voided officer cyclist badge? If so has anyone come across one? Appears different to other badges on the men in picture. Or are my eyes playing tricks. Kind regard Dan |
If you mean the Army Cyclist Corps, them none of them look like it to me??

Posted in the Canadian Military Insignia section.
The jacket collars and button arrangements are another indicator. Tim |

The officer's badge doesn't look like any of the Cdn cyclists badges?

Could it be a Lord Strathcona's Horse (RC) cap badge?
|
Badge ?
I'd have to agree and say Lord Strathconas Horse .
With the 50 round bandolier , I'd guess cavalry . Rosen 10-1 . Similar photo on page # 39 ," Khaki- Uniforms of the CEF " written by Clive Law , Service Publications . |
Leather Bandoliers
Actually 90-round Leather Bandoliers for not only Cavalry but for mounted troops in general, which also covered cyclists.

They are definitely cyclists canadian. I was just wondering about the voided officer badge.
Bye |
I think Richard may be on to the identification. The permanent force officers were "spread" around the CEF to help organize the units for overseas. Cyclists were seen as a type of mounted troops, which would be an appropriate extra-regimental appointment.

I think you have got the answer, Lord Strathconas Horse badge, Thankyou.
