Help! REV Gomm forced to stop selling military badges by MoD

Hi all , I have collected RAF squadron badges for many years and recently came across REV Gomm that took over from H W Miller as a military badge maker. I was going to place an order for a number of badges when they were all withdrawn from the website.

I contacted the manager of the company and he explained that basically MoD merchandising department intransigence about licensing had forced REV Gomm to stop producing these badges after many years of manufacture and paying royalties to the MoD. Its a barmy situation please would members of this forum assist by emailing;

hello@revgomm.co.uk and marking the email FAO Michael Tyler

expressing your disappointment that these badges are no longer available for sale.

Many thanks in anticipation

Gareth Hanson

That's an interesting development. Presumably the MoD are exercising their "Intellectual Property Rights". Its a pity they don't do that in respect of the many individuals who peddle repro. badges.

Dave.

50 years or more too late for that.

Thanks for having me on this forum. Yes its bonkers seeing as REV Gomm have been paying royalties to the MOD all these years. It will have a knock on effect on all badge collectors if the situation is not rectified.
