You are welcome. I think the right hand one is Pathan Regiment (Pakistan) from 50's to amalgamation into Frontier Force Regiment.

I was also thinking about the Pathan Regiment (Frontier Force) (1948 - 1956).
I have seen a different one as shown at The Frontier Force Regiment. I tried to decipher the word on the scroll, but it is difficult to read and while ending on an "n" that is not enough to state that it could be "patan".

Marc, As for the shoulder title, unfortunately I have not been able to find out what the title says. It is not a proper word in Persian or Arabic or even Urdu. The style of writing isn’t familiar to the people I have asked. Baluch people in Iran and Pakistan use their respective country’s official script i.e. Persian or Urdu. I am told the closest match for the shape of the word in Persian is the word “کلانتر” or Sheriff, but he says it is like looking at some clouds and imagining them as a horse or something like that.
