Unidentified Brass Badge

I recently acquired a small brass badge which appears to have a Military appearance. It has a central bar with a Motif which at first appears to be an 'A' but closer inspection shows it to be something else. This is partially surrounded by what appears to be a laurel wreath. Size is 27 mm wide x 20 mm overall height. There are two pin lugs on the back - so perhaps a lapel badge?.
I would be grateful if anyone could identify this badge. Photo Attached.
