Green Howards Error Badge

Is the Green Howards error badge (Kings Crown) only a WW2 cap badge? It wasn't made after the war as well?
Also is this an original example? |

Yes it's original. I don't have dates of manufacture but they were made in large numbers.
The 1944 plastic version which replaced it had the correct coronet. |
Excuse my ignorance, but is the badge in question an error because of the crown?
I do have one exactly the same as the badge shown. What should the badge be like? Most interesting Chris |

This is the correct version with the Princesses' coronet. |
Thank you Alan for your response, appreciated

Thank you Alan O. for your help.
So if I want a 100% WW2 era cap badge, the plastic type would be the way to go? Is there any problems with the plastic cap badges deteriorating? I've seen quite a few warped para badges, but I'm not sure if its just a manufacturing flaw or time itself causing it. Thanks! |
The one you show in the opening post is your best bet for a genuine WW2 cap badge for the Green Howards.

What about this version? The Crown is not pierced.

Is this a genuine wartime example?
