Winnipeg Grenadiers question

I see that the original designation for the Winnipeg Grenadiers was the 100th Regiment and in 1910 it was redesignated the 100th Winnipeg Grenadiers. The Regiment also raised the 100th Battaloin CEF. Is there a difference in the badges for the Militia Regiment versus the badge for the CEF Battaloin? If so, what do the badges look like?

Hi sarge5020, if you have a lok at the CEF Project at the top of the page, you will see a 100th Bn.CEF badge, quite different that the usual Winnipeg Grenadiers.

Hi John, The 100th Regiment Winnipeg Grenadiers and the 100th Bn Winnipeg Grenadiers wore the same pattern badge. The CEF badge were made by Caron, Dingwall, Tiptaft, and some badges are unmarked.
Someone can correct me on this, but I believe the CEF badges, other ranks were oxidized finishes, while the militia period badge was brass.
Hi Jo, Not sure what you are referring to? The badge in Maz pre-1914 lists the 100th Regiment at MM264. It is the same as the CEF badge.
