RWF badge?

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what I have here? I'm guessing the Welsh one is a collar badge? The rank badge looks a bit fancy, is it a guards one? Thanks a lot, Michael |
The rank pip looks a bit like Irish Guards, angle is a bit off so not certain.
Cheers, Alex |

POW feathers is probably a cavalry/yeomanry NCO arm badge worn on No1 dress or mess kit. I have a similar one as Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

The rank star is indeed The Irish Guards. The silver wire star version is for full dress.

Your arm badge is not Scots DG, my Dad was a 3rd Carabinier and subsequently Scots DG on amalgamation, I have his original No1 dress PWO feathers arm badge from first issue.(photo later) I too served in the Scots DG and have never seen an arm badge like yours. Maybe 12th Lancers, or even a Yeomanry? Cheers Chris |

Chris,
I agree it is not SCOTS DG and is quite small. There one for sale on eBay as 9/12 Lancers but I don’t think is that either. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144042459...kAAOSwX9lgomC~ Tim |
I’ve seen very similar size PoW plumes on full dress uniforms worn by Lord Lieutenants for Welsh counties.

Thanks very much for the help everyone, sorry I haven't replied sooner but I've had a few days on the sick so haven't been online.
Hopefully the attached photos will help a bit, I was obviously way off with my guess. Michael |
