The Lincolnshire regt.
Hi all, what’s the regimental colours for the Lincolnshire regt, or what colour is there badge backing. Thanks Andrew

Badge backing's a red/black (or a black over red, can't remember which) diagonally divided rectangle.
I can't find photos of "my" badge backings, one loose, one sewn on to a dark blue beret. Red uppermost, from bottom left to top right corner. Kelly's sells them as red and a definite blue rather than black. My loose badge and backing: |

The backing to the badge was only introduced post-war for wear on the blue beret.

Unfortunately I can't make out any markings on this beret, but the badge backing looks original to the beret. Like my other example, the "blue" of the backing is in fact black. |

Apologies for veering off topic but it isn't just badge backings that are afflicted by misinterpretation of the shade of blue by those who reproduce them.
On the left, an original Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers Hackle from the 1960's, on the right, AMMO's modern interpretation of it: |

Thankyou all , your input, and help is very much appreciated. Andrew

This is confusing me a bit. Trusted and knowledgeable members on here quite reasonably showing red over black backing, yet there's recent (ish) photos online of Lincolnshire Regiment veterans wearing red over blue?
